Pincer a band from Newcastle UK, found a need to promote there new album "Let's have it", with a music video of their title track "cocaine girl". Filming was done over 3 mornings in 3 separate locations, one being a famous multi story car park in Gateshead where they film the 1971 movie "Get Carter" starring Michael Caine, another location was a 1950's pedestrian tunnel which runs under the river Tyne, this unique location gave the video a very distinctive look.

The second track form the album, "what comes along" was filmed in one continuous shoot at a local mall in Gateshead, editing the video was simple apart from a ghosting effect, editing time was also greatly reduced by the lack of any lip syncing which can be time consuming.

Pincer latest information...
"Late 2002, After enjoying many venues playing mixed measures of material, the band decided to go completely original when they were offered the chance to support Shed 7 at the Empire, Middlesborough. Now all 18 years old, their determination to impress & move their fans has grown, their sound is more mature yet full of energy. The new band name compliments their new direction with their music. Jazz influenced guitar pieces with harmony & melody for the alternative masses. The Pincer Movement are based in Newcastle upon Tyne and have a distinctive original sound using jazz, energy, and the powers of youth to create a driving stage show ala Joy Division." info supplied by gigs-unlimited
